VALERY VILLARD

All my friends will tell you that I’am a 19th century guy trapped in current days, and this reflect in my work. I grew up and still live in a small town known all over the world for its famous antique shops and art market, it is not without reason I love all things old, with a soul and a story.

While your story inspire me most of all, I draw my inspiration from museums, where I enjoy marveling at all forms of refined art, especially the paintings of academic, impressionist and orientalist painters. So I try to bring a little Sorolla or Manet into my life scenes and a hint of Bouguereau in the female representations.

My old soul also value elegance, gallantry and romance. I'm honored that my clients share the same values.
With my lovely wife Alexandra (below with me on the photos) and our equally lovely girl Victoria we are big fans of Downtown Abbey, and we had our own wedding inspired by this. The old and Timeless values, the desire of excellence, the sens of refinement, the respect of the etiquette, the know-how and the know-how to be resonate in us. But what speaks to me most in this series is certainly the this deep desire to perpetuate. As a wedding photographer, I'm passionate about documenting the moments and heirlooms that tell stories of legacy.

I have been documenting weddings of all sizes, from intimate elopements to much larger guest list with clients from all over the world for almost a decade now. My work has been featured on many International wedding magazines and most respected blogs such as Style me Pretty, Wedding sparrow, Amber & Muse or Munaluchi Bridal magazine. Years of experience allow me to handle any situation that may happen during a wedding day and still produce sophisticated yet natural and timeless images.
When I am not photographing, editing, or traveling, you’ll find me spending time with my family, travelling (UK and Italy are our favorite destinations) or eventually in my workshop satisfying my constant need to create and make something with my hands, with the same meticulousness and sense of detail as in photography.
I live in the beautiful Provence, nested between Luberon, Alpilles and Mont Ventoux, probably one of the most picturesque place on earth with its old hillside village. Its art of living flow through my veins. If you're like me enjoying slowlife & alfresco dinners make yourself at home! As a real ambassador of the area I would be delighted to provide you a memorable experience in Provence. While I mostly work in south of France, I am always ready to explore new places, meet interesting people, and experience the unfamiliar, in Europe or anywhere else.
